Bruin was definitely a larger than life character who would provide a running commentary
all the way to shows - much like Pat does! Hand fed until he was 5 years old he
finally gave in like a lamb on being told during Pat’s 2 week holiday that he was
to feed himself or starve. At the very first meal he clearly indicated it was a
fair cop and ate well subsequently. A spoilt brat but very much loved at Risdene
and our first champion. Interestingly his brother SH CH Shipden Fleche proved what
longevity the breed has, and should have, by gaining his title at 12 years of age!
